ANNOUNCEMENT: We are pleased to welcome Andrew Nette to the Snubnose family. We will be publishing his novel, tentatively titled Cambodia Darkness and Light, in 2012.

It’s a hard-boiled novel about a Vietnamese-Australian ex-cop searching for a missing businessman in mid-90s Cambodia that brings to mind the novels of Martin Limón.

The Jones Men by Vern E Smith

November 14, 2011

ANNOUNCEMENT: Snubnose Press will be issuing a re-print of The Jones Men by Vern E Smith. I’m particularly proud of this one and have been speaking to Vern for awhile about it.

The Jones Men was published in 1974 and was nominated for The Edgar award in 1975. This was Smith’s only novel published.

My review of the book can be found here.

“A large accomplishment in the art of fiction.” New York Times

“The best street novel I’ve ever read…The Jones Men is a work of art.” Richard Condon, author of The Manchurian Candidate

ANNOUNCEMENT: We are pleased to welcome Nik Korpon to the family. Again! We will be publishing his story collection called Bar Scars in 2012. We will also be publishing the ebook version of his novella Old Ghosts.

Craig Wallwork

November 14, 2011

ANNOUNCEMENT: In 2012 we will be publishing Craig Wallwork’s novel. We are trying to settle on a name for it right now. Once we know more so will you.

The novel has deeply flawed relationships, interesting characters and deadly acts done in the name of a possible warped love. It’s great.

We are very please to have Craig join the family.
